Casting Child Actors for YouTube Short Film Contest

Cohencidence Productions (www.cohencidence.com) is producing a short film for the YouTube Project: Direct contest (www.youtube.com/projectdirect). This is a 7-minute short featuring all child actors satirizing adult melodrama.

While there will (obviously) not be any sexual content or foul language, there will be plenty of adult themes, content, and conversation. Actors' parents will be given the script well ahead of time with plenty of time to review and approve. Parents will be expected to supervise and control their children/actors at all times.

Casting Breakdown:
* Male lead: 4-7 years old, handsome, lots of adult dialogue.
* Female lead: 4-7 y.o., pretty, some adult language and crying.
* Male supporting: 4-8 y.o., preferably chubby.
* Female supporting: 4-7 y.o., prim & proper.
* 3 Females: 4-7 y.o., one monologue each.
* Female identical twins 4-7 y.o., one line each. SHOULD BE IDENTICAL or nearly identical. Long hair preferred, but not required.
* Male supporting, 6-8 y.o., large bully (no dialogue).
* Supporting Infant, 2 y.o., 1 line. Preferably male, but can be female.

Casting is tentatively scheduled for Saturday 10/20 with filming scheduled for the weekend of 10/27-10/28. All actors will be expected to rehearse their lines the week prior to filming and have them memorized by the time they get to the set.

This is primarily a project for exposure and experience. We are not planning on making any money on this. Meals will be provided, but there will likely be no pay. All cast and crew will receive credit in the film and a copy on DVD. If we win a cash prize in the contest, winnings will be split equally amongst all cast and crew (after production expenses are reimbursed).

To apply, please forward headshot, electronic zed cards, resume, online demo reel, or any other materials we should consider to audition@cohencidence.com . We will respond and notify everyone of time and place for auditions ASAP.

Thanks for applying, and good luck!
